Spray Drone Control Program
IPCC’s Spray Drone Control Program Is Coming in 2026!
IPCC has partnered with Drone Spray Canada to provide the most experienced team in Canada to undertake Phragmites control within natural areas (including stormwater management ponds). We collaborated on a three-year (2022-2024) spray drone research project for BASF using Habitat Aqua and are currently finishing up a three-year (2024-2026) spray drone research project for BAYER using VisionMAX. This research was undertaken with the assistance of many partners including: Bruce Power, OPG, University of Waterloo, Ontario Parks, MECP, Lambton Shores Phragmites Community Group.
IPCC’s Spray Drone Control Program will include all required aspects for undertaking a safe and effective control operation including: assessment and determination of site-specific control needs, appropriate timing, required credentials, permits, insurance, logistics, additional specialized equipment needs, highly skilled drone pilot and ground crew, use of most appropriate spray drone model, biomass removal, seeding and other required restoration needs.
Our Goal is to eradicate invasive Phragmites and support the restoration of natural areas to become highly diverse, functioning habitats that support species at risk and other wildlife in perpetuity. Our Spray Drone Control Program combined with over twenty years of experience in controlling invasive Phragmites provides us with the capability to achieve this goal.
