Backpack Sprayer Training Sessions:
IPCC offers training sessions for landowners and other individuals who are interested in performing herbicide applications for the purpose of invasive plant control. This hands-on, practical training session focuses on backpack sprayer unit function and maintenance, how to properly and safely mix herbicides, how and when to apply herbicide to Phragmites, and other helpful tips. This training, and the guidebook we provide every participant, is based on more than a decade of field experience and experimentation which emphasizes ecological integrity and safety. This training is intended to complement the certifications necessary for pesticide application as required by the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks.
